Mountain View, California – Ema, an innovative startup, has announced a successful $25 million funding round. The company is pioneering the concept of a “Universal AI Employee,” aimed at revolutionizing how tasks are automated in businesses, enabling employees to shift focus from mundane activities to more strategic tasks.

Ema aspires to streamline and automate complex workflows through its Generative Workflow Engine (GWE) and EmaFusion model. By leveraging more than 30 large language models and specialized domain-specific models, these tools are designed to increase efficiency and reduce errors, particularly in customer service and internal productivity sectors.

The enterprise was co-founded by former Coinbase Chief Product Officer Surojit Chatterjee and ex-VP of Engineering at Okta, Souvik Sen. Both founders bring a wealth of experience and achievements in the tech and business realms. “Our goal is to build a universal AI employee that automates the mundane tasks enterprise employees tackle daily, freeing them for more valuable and strategic work,” states Chatterjee.

This funding round was co-led by Accel, Section 32, and Prosus Ventures, with participation from Wipro Ventures, Venture Highway, AME Cloud Ventures, Frontier Ventures, Maum Group, and Firebolt Ventures. Prominent individual investors such as Sheryl Sandberg, Dustin Moskovitz, Jerry Yang also contributed to this round.

The successful funding underscores the market’s strong interest in Ema and its innovative AI solutions, highlighting the growing demand for artificial intelligence in business automation. Ema has already quietly acquired customers like Envoy Global, TrueLayer, and Moneview, demonstrating that its product is ready to meet high market demands.
