Mar 19, 2023

Medwing, a Berlin, Germany-based digital HR management platform for healthcare, raised €44m in Series C funding.

Backers included Hambro Perks and SVB Capital, Quadrille Capital, Cathay Innovation, Northzone, Cherry Ventures, and Atlantic Labs.

The company, which has raised approx. €72m, intends to use the funds to enhance its market position in the UK and Germany, and continue to develop its platform.

Founded by Johannes Roggendorf and Dr Timo Fischer in 2017, Medwing is a job matching and career consulting company for all healthcare professions. The platform uses digitisation and automation to make the matching process between specialist and hospital or nursing facility as timely, efficient, transparent and simple as possible for all parties involved.

"As the healthcare gap continues to grow, as people grow older and need more care with age, we are addressing this global problem and making a significant contribution to solving it – through a technological component, but also through a strong human component,” said Johannes Roggendorf, MEDWING Founder & Managing Director.

The startup has over 5,500 hospitals and nursing homes in its platform, which is used by over half a million workers in the healthcare industry.
