Jan 18, 2024

In a remarkable stride for the HR technology sector, Barcelona's emerging AI startup, Remuner, has successfully closed a €2 million Pre-Seed funding round. This significant milestone, led by the Silicon Valley-based fund Pear VC, comes merely three months after the company's launch, signaling strong investor confidence in its innovative approach to sales commission management.

Remuner has carved a niche in the competitive tech landscape with its commission management platform, distinctively leveraging AI and data analytics. The startup's goal is to transform the traditional models of variable compensation into powerful tools for business growth and employee motivation.

Sergio Gonzalez, CEO and co-founder of Remuner, emphasizes the startup's vision: "We are redefining how companies approach variable compensation. By integrating AI, we turn the management of sales commissions into a more efficient and positive experience, aligning team incentives with company objectives while providing real-time visibility to sales teams."

The platform's no-code interface is a key feature, automating all aspects of sales commissioning. It enables companies to design custom compensation plans based on data-driven decisions, with the aim of maximizing team performance and retaining top talent. This approach positions Remuner as a pioneer in reimagining compensation strategies in the modern workplace.

Moreover, Remuner's platform integrates seamlessly with existing systems used by customers, including Salesforce, Hubspot, Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive, Netsuite, Snowflake, Google Big Query, and Amazon Redshift. This integration facilitates a smooth transition for companies adopting Remuner's innovative solutions.

Pepe Agell, a partner at Pear VC and a former entrepreneur, expresses his excitement about the investment: "Supporting Remuner's mission to change the management of variable compensation plans is thrilling. Their data and AI-based approach is key to success in this space."

The funding round also saw participation from other prominent venture capital funds like Kfund, Bonsai Partners, Enzo Ventures, and institutional investors such as Wayra and BStartup. A variety of business angels, including JobAndTalent co-founders Felipe Navío and Juan Urdiales, also extended their support, indicating broad interest in Remuner's potential.

Looking forward, Remuner is poised to expand its unique position in the sales commission management market and continue its growth trajectory in Europe. With this investment, the startup is not only setting a new standard in compensation management but also exemplifying the innovative spirit of Barcelona's tech ecosystem.
