This funding marks a significant milestone for WorkerHero as it aims to address the persistent shortage of skilled blue- and grey-collar workers through AI-driven recruitment solutions.

Founded in 2021 to Combat Skilled Labor Shortage

WorkerHero was established in 2021 by Richard Fischer, Steven Miller, Michael König, and Emanuel Wernitz. The company’s mission is to solve the labor shortage in Europe by leveraging advanced AI technology to source and match high-quality candidates with companies in need. Since its inception, WorkerHero has grown rapidly, amassing over 70,000 users and helping major companies like Telekom, HelloFresh, and BayWa recruit skilled workers efficiently.

AI-Driven Sourcing and Matching

WorkerHero’s platform utilizes AI-driven sourcing and matching to connect companies with the right candidates swiftly and accurately. This technology ensures comprehensive pre-qualification, leading to higher success rates and better-matched candidates compared to traditional recruiting methods. The platform currently operates in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with plans for further expansion.

Investor Confidence and Strategic Support

Patrick de Wachter, Director of Corporate Development at Mediahuis, expressed confidence in WorkerHero’s innovative approach and performance: “WorkerHero’s outstanding performance demonstrates the effectiveness of focusing on well-defined blue-collar sectors, delivering better-matched candidates much faster than broader market players. WorkerHero’s unwavering commitment to user experience and quality delivery has driven impressive growth since its inception. We are excited to support WorkerHero in its future growth and look forward to seeing their continued success.”

Scaling Operations and Expanding Internationally

The €4 million funding will enable WorkerHero to scale its operations and enter new industries. An upgraded platform version is also in the works, which will simplify the recruiting and job-searching process for users. This new version will feature an improved design and enhanced functionalities, including advanced AI tools. Additionally, WorkerHero plans to focus on international hiring to support companies in recruiting skilled workers from abroad.

Richard Fischer, CEO and Co-Founder of WorkerHero, highlighted the company’s vision: “We want to solve the labor shortage in Europe by helping companies find skilled workers both within the specific country and from abroad.
