Twitter Challenges LinkedIn and Indeed with New Job Listings Feature?

Twitter is reportedly preparing a feature that allows verified organizations on its platform to post job listings on their profiles. The social media giant has also created an official @TwitterHiring account. Although not officially announced, some verified organizations have already been able to post job listings under their Twitter bios. The job listings direct interested applicants to the company's website, where they can learn more about the position and apply. The feature, referred to as "Twitter Hiring," allows verified organizations to attract talent to their open positions, with the ability to add up to five job positions to their profiles.

Social media giant Twitter is reportedly preparing a new feature that allows verified organizations on the platform to post job listings on their profiles. The feature is currently in the works, but some verified organizations have already been able to post job listings under their Twitter profile bios.

These job listings direct interested applicants straight to the company's website, where they can learn more about the position and submit their applications. The feature, reportedly referred to as "Twitter Hiring," is described by Twitter as a way for verified organizations to attract talent to their vacant positions. Verified organizations will be able to add up to five positions on their profiles.

Twitter will also allow verified organizations to import all their vacant positions onto the platform by connecting to a supported Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or XML feed, enabling them to add job listings to Twitter within minutes.

The move doesn't come as a complete surprise, as Twitter owner Elon Musk hinted at the feature back in May. Responding to a user's suggestion that Twitter should implement a dating feature, Musk replied, "Interesting idea, maybe also jobs."

With this new feature, Twitter is looking to challenge popular companies like LinkedIn and Indeed. Notably, Twitter acquired a job-matching tech startup called Laskie in May, marking Musk's first acquisition since buying the app. It's possible that this acquisition helped the social media titan develop and roll out the feature.

Reportedly, verified organizations can access the job posting feature without any additional cost. Media company Workweek has been granted access to the job posting feature, and its CEO, Adam Ryan, stated that the feature is included in Twitter's $1,000 per month "Verified Organization" package.

While Twitter users have already been posting job information via tweets on the platform, the new feature could help companies reach candidates more easily among the platform's vast user base.

This new feature marks a significant step forward for Twitter in improving user experience and functionality. We look forward to seeing how these changes will shape the future of the job market.
